Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certificate (Owens Code: ZEMT)


The course is designed to help the student gain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to be a competent entry level Emergency Medical Technician.

The course follows the Department of Transportation (DOT) standards as well as the national standard curriculum.

Those who successfully complete the course will be eligible to take the National Registry exam and receive state certification through Owens Community College. 

Students must have a current American Heart Association health care provider CPR card. Only Individuals interested in EMT-Basic certification should register.


Accreditation

Certificates of Accreditation are issued by Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services, State Board of Emergency Medical Services through March 31, 2023.
