Finding opportunities to continue playing a sport you love is a goal for many athletes. For Khloey Hutton, this year’s Early Childhood Education Outstanding Graduate, she was able to pursue her degree while playing softball for the Owens Express.

Hutton, a 2021 Otsego High School graduate, found success on the Express softball team as a pitcher. She also had a .464 batting average over her two years with the team and 12 RBIs. While in high school, she was named Second Team All-Northern Buckeye Conference (NBC) as an outfielder … Honorable Mention All-NBC as a pitcher.

Hutton was inspired to work with children as her career while in High School. “I started babysitting and just loved watching the kids when I would babysit,” she said.

After graduation, Hutton plans to pursue a career working with kids or become a one-on-one paraprofessional at a school.
