HAAS Demo Day and Job Fair @ Dana Center 143 (Gene Haas Machining Lab)

Learn more about advanced manufacturing opportunities at the HAAS Technical Education Center Open House in the Dana Center. On Wednesday, October 18 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., stop by to tour the Gene Haas Machine Lab and see demonstrations of the latest milling and turning technology.

Join us and network with instructors, other students and local manufacturers.

Lunch from Deets BBQ will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m.

Transfer Fair – Toledo @ Heritage Hall 123 A & B

Career & Transfer Services will host a Transfer Fair from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 in Heritage Hall 123. There will be nearly 30 colleges and universities in attendance. Students are invited to attend and learn more about their transfer options.

PAWS – Pet Away Worry and Stress @ Heritage Hall Lounge-Area

Come visit pets from Toledo Animal Rescue (cats, dogs and kittens)!

Students, faculty and staff can pop into the Heritage Hall Lounge from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 and cuddle with some furry friends.

Purple Thursday

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Thursday, October 19, Owens Community College will participate in showing support for survivors and a commitment to end abuse by wearing purple.

You can participate in a national campaign by taking a selfie in your purple and sharing it on social media with #PurpleThursday #DVAM #Every1KnowsSome1

Learn about the importance of sleep, cardiovascular exercise, hydration/nutrition and post workout cooldown for overall wellness and get some tips for getting started in the right direction. The Exercise Science students will have activity stations (warm up, strengthening, spin bikes, stretching/focus and dodgeball!), educational handouts and swag! Bring some friends and head over to the SHAC on Thursday, October 19 between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.!
