Make plans to purchase the College’s Big Read book, “How We Fight For Our Lives” by Saeed Jones. Purchase the book at one of the College’s library locations for $10. Cash or check accepted. And then mark your calendars! Jones is scheduled to visit the College on Thursday, April 28.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are hot topics, but what does it all really mean? Do we really understand how to use diversity and inclusion in our day-to-day lives? Join us to discuss how to create a mindset to meet the College’s strategic goal to intentionally promote diversity and inclusion among faculty and staff.
The courses for which students are registered at the end of the business day on the freeze date will determine financial aid eligibility as long as completed FAFSA results are on file at Owens. Join us for the Big Read’s Confronting Biases as we hear from Andrew Erickson, Philosophy Professor and Steve Ross, Psychology Professor, on ways to become aware of biases and how to curb them. All are welcome!
