Dave Stevens: Impossible Dream @ Education Center 111

Dave Stevens is a congenital amputee, born without legs, who developed a passion for playing sports without adaptive modifications. With his drive and determination, he became a three-sport varsity athlete in high school, and was awarded a scholarship to play college football. As the only legless player in college football history, his success lead to a tryout with the Dallas Cowboys and a minor league baseball contract, followed by a 20+ year career in sports broadcasting with ESPN. Dave has lived a life overcoming the word “never” and shares his amazing message which can include the ups and downs of being handicapped, overcoming drug addiction, coping with adoption, and losing his parents at a young age.

Owens Concert Band Performance @ Center for Fine and Performing Arts

The Owens Concert Band will be joined by the Toledo Polish American Concert Band and perform a combined concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8 at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts. All are welcome to attend the free concert.

The bands will perform a variety of music including marches, Broadway show tunes and big band music. Saxophone and trombones will be featured.

After the concert, refreshments will be provided in the Rotunda. For more information, call (567) 661-7081.
