Goals of Student Mental Health Services
The four primary goals of SMHS are to:
- Provide individual mental health assessment, including crisis intervention, services (as appropriate and based upon capacity), and referral to address the personal, career, and social concerns of a diverse student population and, as a result, assist students in overcoming obstacles to their educational success.
- Provide outreach programming that enhances the well-being of the campus community.
- Provide consultation services that enhance the well-being of the campus community.
- Provide training experiences for masterís level graduate students so they can become effective providers of mental health services.
