Diversity

Diversity training is offered to all employees of the college. The training is offered periodically throughout the year, typically at the beginning of each semester. The training covers many aspects concerning diversity and specific training is available in many areas. Harassment

Student Worker

The student worker training is offered to all student workers employed at the college. The training is offered periodically throughout the year, typically at the beginning of each semester. The training covers the following categories:

Student Handbook, Telephone Etiquette, Diversity, Harassment, Dress Code, Confidentiality, The Power of a Positive Attitude, Dealing with Difficult People, Handling Complaints, Empathetic Listening, Non-Discrimination Policy, Safety Specifications

Discrimination

Discrimination training is offered to all employees of the college. The training is offered periodically throughout the year, typically at the beginning of each semester. The training covers the following categories:

Laws Protecting Discriminatory behavior, Owens Non-Discrimination Policy, Investigative Procedures, Recent Discrimination Cases, Common Questions and Answers Pertaining to Discrimination

Interview Guide

Interview Guide training is offered to all employees of the college. Typically, individuals serving on search committees and/or hiring managers are encouraged to attend the trainings. The trainings are offered as needed, typically at the beginning of each employee search. The training covers the following categories:

Affirmative Action, Discrimination of Protected Classes, Federal Laws Prohibiting Employment Discrimination, Interview Biases, Pre-Employment Inquiry Guidelines, Employment Guide Handbook, EEO Legislation

Interviewing Techniques

Interview Guide training is offered to all employees of the college. Typically, individuals serving on search committees and/or hiring managers are encouraged to attend the trainings. The trainings are offered as needed, typically at the beginning of each employee search. The training covers the following categories:
