Web Based Courses

Owens offers a variety of classes over the Internet. Web-based courses are a convenient way to take a course from the comfort of home. There are certain items that students must know prior to registering for web-based courses:

  • Students must be fluent in use of the Internet and their home computer
  • Students may be required to purchase software (determined by course)
  • Web Students must familiarize themselves with Owens Blackboard and Ozone, Intranet sites used to manage the course through message boards and e-mail.

A Web Student Orientation is available for those who have registered for a web-based class for the first time. This orientation is available on campus and on the Internet.
