  • Sample Faculty Notetaking Announcement:

Disability Services needs a volunteer notetaker in this class to take notes for a student with a disability. Notes may be copied free of charge in Disability Services, Alumni Hall 103 or in the Mail/Copy room on the Findlay Campus. Volunteers may also choose to utilize carbonless notetaking paper or an AlphaSmart provided through Disability Services.

Volunteers who fulfill their notetaking commitments will receive a gift certificate to the OCC bookstore. If you are interested, please see me after class, and I will provide you with a notetaking card that you will need to complete and return to Disability Services.

  • Sample Syllabus Statement:

If you have a disability or acquire one, you may be entitled to receive services and/or accommodations intended to assure an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from the programs offered through Owens Community College. To receive more information, or to apply for services, please contact the Disability Services office at (567) 661-7007.
