EMP 230 - GIS for Emergency Management
This course integrates GIS (geographic information systems) analysis with a National Planning Scenario developed by the US Department of Homeland Security. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to using geospatial analysis to enhance both planning and response to a variety of possible threats including biological, chemical, natural, and WMD. Students will use hands-on techniques to perform essential GIS tasks incorporated into homeland security planning and operations.
