CHM 122 - General Chemistry II
A continuation of CHM 121, which covers states of matter and intermolecular forces, properties of solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base and complex ion equilibria, chemical thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, coordination compounds, organic chemistry and chemistry of selected elements and materials. Lab work reinforces basic principles and emphasizes analytical techniques and includes qualitative analysis of cations. (Fulfills Science requirement in arts and sciences program for pre-math major, pre- science major and pre-engineering major). Students retaking this course must repeat both the lab and lecture.
Co-requisite: MTH 180
