How to Apply


First Things First

1Apply Online.

Your first step is to apply online.

If you are interested in applying for a health program, please review the selective health admissions requirements.

2Submit Your Transcripts.

When your online application is complete, submit your final high school transcripts or state issued GED to the Records Office. Include any official past college transcripts for credit evaluation.

What Happens Next

Once you have submitted your online application and transcripts, you will:

Log Into Your Ozone Account

Click on Ozone to set up personal account for billing and financial aid information, registration status, personal contact information and unofficial Owens transcripts. Your username is your full first name and full last name in lowercase: jonathon_doe. Your initial Ozone password will be these six numbers: Your 2-digit birth date, your 2-digit birth year, and the middle 2 digits of your SSN.

You will need to change your password and answer six security questions when you log in for the first time. Note: Some usernames will have a number following the last name due to multiple students having the same name. (example: jonathon_doe2).

Take Your Placement Tests

All new students who have not taken the ACT or SAT in the past two year, or who do not have prior college credit will need to take the ACCUPLACER test to place into reading, writing, and math, or if necessary, English as a Second Language (ESL). Student with ACT or SAT scores should submit their scores to Owens for evaluation. Contact Testing Services for more information. Students who need ADA accommodations or modifications for testing should contact the Office of Disability Services

Attend New Student Orientation (NSO)

NSO provides students information on how to succeed in college, and at Owens. It is required for all first-time certificate or degree-seeking students who are new to Owens, and transfer in less than nine (9) credit hours from another college. You will learn all about Owens and our services. Sign up to schedule your session.

Then

Plan & Register for Classes

Your advisor will help with the selection of courses for your program and help with your academic plan. They can also assist with registration issue and direct you to college resources. If you are transferring to Owens from another college, please bring your transcripts and submit official transcripts to Records.

Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

The FAFSA is available October 1 and must be submitted as soon as possible. The Owens School code is 005753. Pay your tuition and fees – you can view your bill through your Ozone account. A variety of payment options are available. Contact Oserve for assistance.

Get Your Student ID

All students need an Express ID card. The ID stations are located in Alumni Hall (Toledo), Education Center (Findlay), and at the Learning Center in Downtown Toledo. You need a state issued ID or driver’s license.
