The Commercial Photography program prepares students for the growing field of photography, in particular the continually changing digital skills sets necessary in a technology based world.

There are three career tracks for students interested in photography:
The Associate of Applied Science in Commercial Photography Technology
Associate of Art Transfer in Photography

The Commercial Photography two-year Associate of Arts degree is designed to prepare students for employment in the photographic industry. The program trains students to develop strong skills in both traditional and digital photographic techniques. Students learn darkroom skills for black and white and color processing and printing, as well as digital image manipulation, enhancement and color management. Students learn technical and creative control of studio lighting and all camera formats. Students develop visual language skills to effectively communicate through strong composition, lighting, color and perspective.

The Associate of Arts Transfer in Commercial Photography is designed for students with an interest in photography who intend to transfer to a four year institution to complete a bachelor's degree in fine art photography. The concentration provides students with a variety of fundamental courses in photography and allows them to concentrate in one of a variety of areas.

The Commercial Photography Certificate program provides basic training required for a career in the growing and lucrative field of commercial photography. The course sequence focuses on the essential elements of commercial photography with an emphasis in hands-on experience and practical applications. It is intended for students who are complementing or enhancing their education with this certificate.
